Minnehaha County home sales are up 9% in 2019 over last year, according to the Minnesota Real Estate Board.
It’s an improvement from the previous year, when sales were down 3.3% to 7,946.
Sales of homes worth more than $300,000 are up 8.7%.
It would take $2,000 of mortgage payments, or a 3.8% mortgage payment, to buy a home in Minneapolis.
The number of sales was up 8% from last year.
The percentage of all sales up for the year was 25.6%.
That’s an increase of nearly 10%, the biggest in five years.
The average price of a home sold was up 2.4%, from $298,000 last year to $305,000 this year.
