The president of the United States, Donald Trump, has signed an executive order authorizing a lease for a Trump-owned golf club that would be located at his New Jersey golf course.
The order, issued Wednesday, states that the president’s trust will use the proceeds from the lease, which is worth $8.5 million, for the purchase of land at the New Jersey Golf Club in the town of New York.
The president’s Office of Management and Budget has said it will award the lease to the Trump Organization.
The club’s lease is for 25 years.
Trump said he signed the lease because it’s “in the best interest of the community and the United Kingdom.”
He said it is important for the country to be represented in politics and that he wants to make sure that people understand how great our country is.
Trump has not yet released details about the lease.
